Two Years After her Death, Pippi is Still Helping

It was two years ago, on May 11, 2014, that our wonderful tri-paw pit bull, Pippi Hudson, passed away.  She was only 7 1/2 years old, but the miles take their toll on a three legged dog, and Pippi lived life to the fullest.  She visited a local hospital every Saturday for five years, she appeared in our television commercials, and most important, she raised money to help other injured animals.

Pippi's impact was amazing for a disadvantaged throwaway creature.  In five years, she raised nearly $24,000 for the Emergency Medical Fund of the Animal Rescue Coalition of Sarasota.  She did it by appearing at ARC events, by appearing on their fundraising materials, and through a contribution from the Hudson Law Office for every one of Pippi's cases that settled.  Since 2008, we have been donating 5% of all fees from "Pippi Cases" to the ARC Emergency Medical Fund.

Even though Pippi has been gone for quite a while, her memory still brings clients to the Hudson Law Office.  And when those cases settle, we are still donating 5% of the fee in Pippi's name, to help other injured and abandoned animals to get the start that Pippi got.  Last week, we settled a case that involved one of the nurses who got to know Pippi when she was volunteering at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital.  And because of that settlement, the Hudson Law Office is making a contribution of $1,250 to ARC's Emergency Medical Fund.

We think it's just a karma thing.
